US Jobs Vacancies has posted a new item, 'Assistant Professor of Mathematics'

The Sciences and Mathematics Department at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College
invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning
in August 2013. The department seeks applicants who will have received the Ph.D.
in mathematics or statistics by August 2013.

<p>The teaching load is 24 credit hours over the course of the Fall and
Spring semesters. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses for
mathematics majors, education majors, and general studies, in both campus and
distance learning formats. The successful candidate is expected to have a
commitment to teaching excellence as well as a strong commitment to the mission
of a liberal arts college. The candidate will be expected to provide service to
the College and the department.

<p>Preferred qualifications include evidence of successful experience
teaching undergraduates and familiarity with relevant computer and instructional
technology. Experience teaching undergraduate statistics is desirable.

<p>Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is a liberal arts college located near
Terre Haute, IN. The college offers a rich liberal arts education through a
campus program and through a distance education program. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods
College boasts an enrollment of approximately 1,300 students in its campus-based
undergraduate, distance-learning undergraduate, and graduate programs. The
traditional campus-based program is for women only. The Woods Online distance
program and our graduate programs are open to both men and women.
